Bostäder i Borås is a public housing company owned by the City of Borås. They are Borås’ largest landlord with their 7000 apartments around the city. At Bostäder in Borås, 120 employees work to make life a little easier and better for their customers.

A seamless experience in SharePoint

Jenny Haglund is Quality Controller at Bostäder in Borås and is responsible for driving the development of the management system. Jenny says that they were looking for a simple and user-friendly management system, where it would be easy to keep a clear structure. Since they were already working in SharePoint, it was a natural way to get the management system where the employees already are and thus create a connection to the intranet.

“We don’t want employees to notice that they are moving from one system to another, for example when leaving the intranet and coming to the management system. With Tahoe’s products, we can easily create a seamless experience throughout SharePoint.”

In the search for a new system, Jenny heard good references about Tahoe and InSight Perform. They compared different companies and solutions in terms of functionality and price, where InSight Perform became an obvious choice.

– The solution we had before felt too advanced and complex for our business. We want it to be easy both to administer, work with the documents and find what you are looking for, says Jenny.

Implementation close to the business

Bostäder i Borås was keen to make the implementation as close to the business as possible, therefore they wanted to have the opportunity to go live early, even before their management system was built up to the fullest.

– We wanted to let go of everything with prestige and dare to open the system to our employees, even if everything was not fully “ready”. A management system should be alive and will never be finished, changes will always be required based on what works best in the business, says Jenny.

One of the major advantages they experienced was that the implementation was very quick and easy.

– After just two weeks, we had access to start populating the system with our processes and documents. We wanted to go live with the system to our employees during the build-up phase to be able to get feedback, both on the product and on the set-up of our processes. Since the system is so flexible and easy to administer, this worked very well, says Jenny, and Alexandra agrees.

Improvement in managing document and processes

Bostäder i Borås has been up and running with its management system since the summer of 2023 and is experiencing a clear improvement in document management and internal processes. The choice to have a supplier and a turnkey product has its advantages, such as access to support, continuous development of functions and improvements, expertise in the field and a good product warranty.
